Marysia McDowall
I started my real estate career in 1978 and worked with ERA Realty, Century 21 and the Real Estate Center of Spearfish before opening RE/MAX In The Hills in 1998. My company has established itself as the top agents in residential sales. For several years, I held a real estate appraisers license which assisted me in positioning property correctly in the market to sell. I love the challenge of matching property to owner and enjoy meeting people from every walk of life. I believe in continued education and learning new techniques to keep me on top of my game. I feel that my experience, education and forward thinking combined with your enthusiasm in buying and selling property create a truly winning team.
Opening RE/MAX In The Hills in 1998 I knew that I wanted brand new agents that I could mentor and train. My agents have come to us straight from real estate school and full of energy and enthusiasm. I realized that in order for my agents to succeed, I needed to provide them with a strong foundation from which they could build from. As a result of the training I provide, my agents have enjoyed successes equaling those of an agent who’s been in the business for several years.
Through required education, I have earned many designations that contribute to my ability to provide excellent and professional service to my clients. I am an Accredited Buyers Representative (ABR), Certified Commercial Investment Manager (CCIM), Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager (CRB), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) and a Graduate of Real Estate Institute (GRI).
In my community, I have served as liaison and translator for polish immigrants and refugee families sponsored through the catholic church in our community and to date, I have assisted 23 immigrants in moving to our area where they are thriving today. One of my favorite charities is helping the local Food Pantry stock their shelves by hosting a food drive at our local grocery stores. My agents and I look forward to this event each year knowing that we are serving families in our own community.
When time allows, I love to watch birds and try to identify them. I read a lot of industry related books as well as fictional books written in Polish (just to keep up on the written language). Traveling to different countries and especially around the United States is probably one of the things I enjoy the most. I love to discover new things and better understand our past. To relax, I like to work in my flower garden. My mom has an extraordinary flower garden and she has passed on her love for flowers to me.
